The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of Technical University is located in the second biggest city of Slovakia – Košice. It was established on the 21st of July 1969 and provide education in fields of informatics, cybernetics, electronics, telecommunications, electric power, and heavy current engineering. There is special attention paid also to research at Faculty, which makes it a perfect place for international students.
The Faculty has been awarded quality certificate EN ISO 9001:2000 in the area of Providing educational and research processes and enterprise activities with a public University. Diploma from FEI is internationally recognized, highly valued around the world, and can speed up graduates’ careers and professional achievements.

Graduates from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics have according to national statistics (dated 2014) the highest chances of finding a job after graduation. Employers prefer graduates from this Faculty thanks to a good reputation of both Technical University and teaching staff. In 2019, the FEEI faculty made it to third place from 118 faculties of Slovak Universities.

Tuition fees for Masters programmes are 6000€ per one studying year. The studies are completed by a state examination and a defence of a thesis. The graduates are granted the academic title “engineer” (“Ing.” in abbreviation). The graduated student of this degree can continue in the third degree of studies.

Tuition fee for Phd. programmes are 7000€ per studying year. Degree will be awarded after fulfilment of the coursework component and by passing the prescribed examinations and by presenting and defending a specialised study (written report) on the current state of the subject in the world. It also comprises presentation of student’s research work to a scientific community.
