The teaching of architecture at the STU began in 1946, making the Faculty of Architecture (FA) the newest addition to the Slovak University of Technology (STU) Faculty. Currently, the faculty has over 1000 daily or external students. Nowadays, the Faculty of Architecture and Design STU is the largest educational institution for architects and designers in the Slovak Republic. The faculty profile reflects university principles and establishes a condition for professional performance within the home country and the EU framework.

The following institutes provide the ideal study opportunities for students: Institute of Architecture of Residential Buildings, Institute of Architecture of Public Buildings, Institute of Ecological and Experimental Architecture, Institute of History and Theory of Architecture and Monument Restoration, Institute of Structures in Architecture and Engineering Building, Institute of Interior and Exhibition Design , Institute of Urban Design and Planning, Institute of Industrial Design and Institute of Visual Arts and Multimedia

Study programs in the English language for international students

There are 2 programs offered in English: Architecture and Urban Planning (Bachelor studies) and Architecture (Master studies). Apart from them, it is possible to study also Architecture at PhD. level. The tuition fees are 3500€ per academic year with one intake in September.
